PRESS RELEASE
The artist Michela Fabeni participated in the second edition of War and Migrants, a cultural initiative promoted by the Nazareno Foundation, an architectural treasure set within the rich urban fabric of the historic monumental headquarters at Via Sant’Andrea delle Fratte 15, in the heart of Rome, inside a sixteenth-century building of great historical and spiritual value.
The event, held from 7 to 12 February 12, 2026, was conceived as an artistic and musical reflection aimed at promoting peace and hospitality as antidotes to war and forced migration, in harmony with Pope Leo XIV’s call for a disarmed and disarming peace, and in accordance with the vision of the Founder (today a Saint), Father Giuseppe Calasanzio.
The exhibition was an anthology collection that extended beyond Italy to embrace many regions of the world, including Estonia, Japan, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and Hungary.

Michela Fabeni, Artist of the Third Millennium, contributed by donating an artist’s postcard, included among the 160 works received from across Europe.
The event took place in rooms where the philosopher Tommaso Campanella once taught among the desks of the School of San Giuseppe Calasanzio, and in the classrooms that also witnessed Galileo Galilei.
Her gesture became a concrete testimony of cultural responsibility and active participation, reaffirming the role of art as a tool for dialogue, awareness, and meaning-making.
The initiative was enriched by a concert featuring original compositions by Fabio Babiloni, performed with members of Concentus Vocalis under the direction of Maestro Antonio Cama, creating a harmonious dialogue between visual arts and music.
The artistic direction of the event was curated by Dr. Rossana Cosci, who guided the project with sensitivity and a clear curatorial vision.
Special thanks are extended to the Piarist Fathers for hosting and supporting the initiative, and in particular to President Father Ugo Barani for his foresight and commitment to culture as an instrument of peace; and his attention to the powerful force that art holds and seeks to communicate to the world — especially when addressing humanity and its complex social and geopolitical moment — the initiative highlighted the role of artistic expression as a universal language of reflection and dialogue.

Michela Fabeni’s participation confirms her commitment to placing art at the center of contemporary dialogue, as a space of responsibility, beauty, and civic awareness.
