Chains and rings of light, like those found in living molecules, are reflected in the zodiac constellations.

Each sign traces a relationship, each constellation holds the complexity of life and its cycles. This bas-relief dedicated to the astronomical Zodiac is a threshold between microcosm and macrocosm: a window onto the universe where light and relief merge and the sky becomes close, tangible, alive.
Each glow in the dark point of light is a fragment of the cosmos coming to life before our eyes. When light fades, matter ignites. It does not disappear: it breathes.
White and silver intertwine in a subtle balance between presence and absence, between the visible and the invisible. The zodiac constellations become universal maps, evoking cosmic time flowing through all forms of existence.
At the center emerges Ophiuchus, the thirteenth constellation crossed by the Sun along the ecliptic, often forgotten because it is excluded from astrological tradition. Around it, the sky becomes thickness, relief, shimmers.
The surface does not represent: it reveals. A silent order holds light and matter together.

A celestial geometry manifests in space. The cosmos becomes presence, without needing explanation.
This work is part of my research into contemporary bas-relief, created through my personal Smussato technique, using palette knife, bare hands and organic materials, silver leaf and glow in the dark. Matter is alive, responsive to light, capable of transformation and resonance.
My art speaks a universal language: it tells of the connection between humanity and the cosmos, between matter and sky, between what we see and what we feel vibrating.
