Michela Fabeni Art Gallery | The Three Graces, a Contemporary Bas-relief of Matter, Light, and Universal Harmony

The Three Graces emerge as a silent balance between strength, beauty, and relationship. A contemporary bas-relief that crosses myth to make it present, alive, embodied in matter.
At the center, gold.
Not as decoration, but as origin: primordial light, beating heart, connective axis. Gold becomes the central presence, the emotional and symbolic core from which energy radiates.
On the sides, silver and copper.
Two polarities in dialogue: reflection and warmth, intuition and body, moon and earth. The metals respond to each other, completing one another, creating a triad that is not hierarchy but relationship. Each element exists because the others do.
The emerald green background, vivid and intense, embraces the composition like a vital field. It is the green of rebirth, sap, and natural balance. A color that does not merely support the form, but nourishes it, amplifies it, and allows it to vibrate in space.
In this bas-relief, matter does not represent: it reveals.
Through the personal Smussato technique, the direct gesture, and the dialogue between smooth surfaces and material tension, The Three Graces become a contemporary symbol of possible harmony. Not idealized, but lived. Not perfect, but necessary.
This work speaks of inner balance, coexistence of differences, and beauty as an act of listening. It speaks of a center that holds, and sides that sustain. It speaks of a grace that is not fragile, but deeply rooted.
On the website, the bas-reliefs remain as a sign of harmony embodied in matter. www.michelafabeniart.com
