Michela Fabeni Art Gallery | Blossom and Rebirth: Two Bas-Reliefs Between Inner Life, Expansion, and Renewal

Blossom and Rebirth are presences that engage in a silent dialogue.
Two souls that reflect each other, similar yet opposite, like the breath of the universe, contracting and expanding, receiving and giving back.
Both works originate from a deep listening to the material and what it holds. They do not tell a linear story, but a state of being.
These are figures immersed in themselves, gathered, wrapped in the quiet of an inner embrace. Within this stillness, there is no closure, only preparation.
Blossom captures the moment of fertile intimacy.
It is the feeling that matures in silence, the awareness that grows without the need to manifest. Its form suggests a restrained blossoming, an energy that concentrates before emerging. Here, inner life is home, refuge, origin.
Rebirth is the next gesture.
It represents the passage from centering to expansion, from potential to transformation. The form opens outward, as if ready to give itself to the world after traversing its own core.
Together, Blossom and Rebirth create a subtle balance between two fundamental tensions of existence: the need to belong to oneself and the desire to expand.
They are not opposing forces in conflict but complementary polarities.
A space of harmony where returning to oneself does not exclude connecting with others, and opening up does not erase the origin.
The material, shaped in bas-relief, becomes a sensitive skin. It absorbs light, holds it, and reflects it differently on each surface. Negative and positive space converse, as do form and what remains unspoken.
These works do not demand interpretation—they invite experience.
They are an invitation to recognize your own inner rhythm, the time required to blossom, and the inevitable time to be reborn. www.michelafabeniart.com
