Rebirth, bas-relief on canvas, 60 cm, palette knife, organic material, comes to life in Rome starting November 29, 2025, at an historic palace in the heart of Trastevere.
From November 29, this work of art was on view at the Palazzo Velli, Museum, an exhibition space that dialogues with the historical layers of Rome and with a contemporary vision of matter and gesture.

A place rich in memory that welcomes a work born as a threshold, an act of passage: a material space where light breaks the silence and form begins to breathe again.

Rebirth is a bas-relief rooted in an ancient gesture, held within the body since childhood.
A gesture of gathering, of deep listening, of returning to an essential breath.
It is a form of peace that has always accompanied the artist, an intimate movement that becomes matter, surface, skin.
Stillness turns into creation.
The body becomes a memory of light. Form emerges from an inner act that becomes presence.

On December 12, 2025, the work of art was officially presented on the occasion of the Leonardo Prize, during the finissage at the Congress Center of the Pontifical Gregorian University, in the Fontana di Trevi area.
To be present with Rebirth, in this place and at this time, represents a profound and conscious joy for Michela Fabeni. One circle closes. Another opens.
For the artist, rebirth is not an extraordinary event, but a continuous act of light: a return to the original breath, to the possibility of beginning again through matter, silence, and listening.
Matter holds. Light moves through. Form begins again. Rebirth is an invitation to pause, to enter a space of presence and transformation.
