The Microcosm Collection is a journey into what cannot be seen with the eyes but is felt beneath the skin. Creating is a sacred act, a silent dialogue between who I am and who I have yet to discover. Through my bas-reliefs on canvas, crafted with the Smussato technique, I explore the material with bare hands, listening to the rhythm of earth, water, fire, and air.
My works are living skin, an interplay of wound and light, a caress that leaves a profound mark.
I am a body that feels, a hand that shapes, a vision taking form.
In the Microcosm Collection, I have brought to life many small creatures – ladybugs, beetles, praying mantises, crickets, fireflies, ants, beetles, millepedes, bees, queen bees, dragonflies, and even snails, spiders and scorpions – symbols of life and archaic forms woven into the universal cycle. Every detail is a subtle encounter between the visible and invisible, fragility and strength.
The Microcosm reflects inner gold, mystery, and the rebirth dwelling within us.
Each creature, highlighted with gold leaf, carries a unique message, a mission in the grand design of the universe. Even the infinitely small has a place, a luminous dignity, a vital presence. I have made the infinitely small grand, because life pulses where few dare to look.
