There is a woman’s body that carries the essence of Mother Earth. She is not merely a female figure, but an origin, an ancient presence, a womb that remembers time.
Her form emerges from matter with both strength and tenderness, shaped on a raw canvas, 65x90 cm, using a spatula and a soft, organic compound. The surface is never smooth. It vibrates, breathes, holds the trace of the gesture, like living skin crossed by light.
Facing her is the Sea.
It has no defined face, no fixed boundaries. It is an abstract, fluid presence that surrounds and embraces. Its arms are made of water, splashes and marine bubbles, expanding and tightening around the body of the Earth.
Between them, a kiss unfolds. A passionate, primal kiss. Not a romantic act, but a cosmic one: the meeting of solid and fluid, of origin and movement, of what receives and what flows.
In this work, the smussato technique becomes emotional language. The spatula carves and caresses, allowing solids and voids to emerge and dialogue with light. The organic matter is not controlled, but listened to, guided toward its natural form.
The message is universal: everything is born from encounter. Every balance is relationship. Every life is the result of an invisible kiss between opposing forces that choose to recognize one another.
This artwork does not tell a story. It makes it happen. It invites the viewer to feel before understanding.
