In the heart of Rome, in the historic via Margutta – long known as the street of artists – at Area Contesa ArtDesign, International Gallery, an event dedicated to the encounter between words, visual art and music took place on the occasion of the presentation of the sensory project Fragments by Michela Fabeni.
The event created a moment of dialogue and sharing around the artist’s books, including Encyclopedia of Light and Matter, and Journey without Borders within The Soul and Living Matter, readings of selected poetic texts and the presentation of the novel Petals of Life. An intense and passionate narrative work that explores the depths of human experience, telling stories of fragility, emotion and rebirth through a writing that reaches profound emotional dimensions.
The event also focused on the core of Michela Fabeni’s artistic research: sculptural bas-reliefs on canvas. Created with bare hands and palette knife and organic materials, these works generate living surfaces where matter, light and shadow interact in a delicate balance between fullness and emptiness, expressing a deeply personal artistic language.
Fragments emerges from the encounter of these expressive dimensions. Poetry, music and visual art merge into a single sensory experience. The poetic texts have been transformed into musical compositions, creating a narrative that crosses artistic languages and invites the audience into an immersive journey.
During the evening, an artistic fashion show was also presented, revealing a further extension of the artist’s research: bas-relief applied to clothing. The creations walked the runway accompanied by one of the musical tracks from the project, transforming art into movement, presence and performative gesture.
Fragments thus becomes a multidimensional artistic project that can be experienced through the artist’s social media channels, particularly on her YouTube channel, where readings of poetic texts are combined with visual sequences of the creative process, bas-reliefs and artworks accompanied by music, creating a continuous dialogue between word, image and sound.
Special thanks go to speaker Teresa Zurlo for her depth and sensitivity in exploring the emotional core of the artist’s writings.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to artistic director Tina Zurlo for her sensitivity and support in accompanying this moment of artistic sharing.
Thanks as well to critics Alfio Borghese, Principe and Mario Salvo for their reflections and critical insights into the artist’s work.
Finally, sincere thanks to everyone who attended and shared this moment dedicated to art, words, matter and music.
