Michela Fabeni’s bas-relief artworks became the focus of an intense moment of spirituality, art, and shared emotion during the collective exhibition Arte Nazareno, in an atmosphere rich with meaning and human connection.

Following the evocative sung and performed mass dedicated to a disarmed and disarming peace, as described by the Holy Father, visitors were able to immerse themselves in the symbolic and material language of the Roman artist, internationally recognized for her personal Smussato technique.
Through hand-shaped surfaces, vibrant textures, gold leaf, metallic pigments, and organic materials, Michela Fabeni transforms matter into a sensory and spiritual experience.

Angels, universal symbols, the circle of life, and archetypal forms engaged in dialogue with the audience through an emotional journey capable of merging light, silence, and inner reflection.
The artworks, characterized by strong three-dimensionality and tactile presence, generated authentic participation and created a meeting point between contemporary art and spirituality.
Michela Fabeni’s artistic research stands out for its deeply recognizable identity: each bas-relief is born from a direct gesture, shaped exclusively with hands and palette knife, without molds or reproductions.

A visual language that goes beyond aesthetic representation and becomes living matter, skin, memory, and vibration.

The artist wishes to thank the Piarist Fathers for their warm welcome and for making this meaningful experience possible, in the spirit of the teachings of Saint Joseph Calasanz, founder of the Piarist Schools, who dedicated his life to education, humanity, and the spiritual growth of younger generations.
The exhibition finissage takes place on May 15 and represents the final date to experience the artist’s tactile and material works in person.
