On March 24, 2026, at 5:00 PM, the “Waste and Leftovers” section of the exhibition Food Seasoned with Art: We Are What We Eat will open at the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Waste Management, in the presence of Councillor Sabrina Alfonsi and the project creators Alessandra Degni and Simona Sarti.
The project was created on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the FAO and invites reflection on the value of food, respect for nature, and the reduction of waste. Through art, food becomes a tool to discover cultures, traditions, and connections between people.
The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Cultural Association Arte Altra, will last one year and features a four-phase journey:
Cultivation – The Culture of Peoples
Nutrition
Preservation
Waste and Leftovers
Among the participating artists, Michela Fabeni presents her relief sculptural artwork, Ant, Custodian of the Smallest, exploring light, matter, and transformation.
All artworks will be displayed both inside the Department and in outdoor installations, creating a continuous dialogue between art, space, and reflection on the themes addressed.
Exhibition dates: March 24 – June 19, 2026
