Dear friends and art lovers,
I am Michela Fabeni, a creator who finds her voice through matter and gesture. My art is born from a deep listening to the elements that surround me: earth, water, fire and air, and from the desire to reveal what is felt beneath the surface, beyond what the eyes can see.
Every artwork I create is a sacred act, a dialogue between who I am and who I still need to discover within myself. Working with bare hands and palette knife, I shape organic materials into bas-reliefs that speak of light and shadow, fullness and emptiness, contact and boundary.
My technique, which I call Smussato, is an exploration of the skin: fragile and strong, a living surface that tells stories of tension, tenderness and transformation. My works are fragments of an inner journey, invitations to connect with the universal rhythms of life and to perceive the pulse of the invisible.
