Michela Fabeni's artistic research continues its international journey, reaching New York for Art Expo 2026, one of the most significant events dedicated to global contemporary art.
From April 9–12 at Pier 36, the artwork Hurricane Woman will be presented — a bas-relief on canvas created through the Smussato technique. The piece embodies movement, transformation, and feminine energy, shaped through direct modeling of organic material with bare hands, palette knife and essential tools, in an ongoing dialogue between surface, light, and emotional vibration.
This participation marks another step in the artist’s international path, already present in exhibitions and awards across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and Asia. Bringing her material research to a city symbolic of global cultural exchange opens new possibilities for dialogue among languages, sensitivities, and visions.

Hurricane Woman belongs to a body of work exploring bas-relief as a sensory and three-dimensional experience, where matter is not merely visual form but a living presence capable of generating relationship, perception, and awareness.
Each exhibition becomes a point of expansion — a space where creative gesture meets new perspectives and continues evolving through time.
Where matter meets perception — explore the works and let form move through you. www.michelafabeniart.com
