Harmony doesn't arise from the absence of tension, but from its transformation. It is the moment when forces stop opposing each other and begin to recognize one another.
This artwork takes shape through my personal smussato technique, using palette knife and bare hands. The gesture is direct, physical, without mediation. The palette knife shapes, cuts, opens and guides.
Bare hands listen, slow down and bring harmony. Matter is touched until it finds its own rhythm.
To smooth means to remove rigidity, create passages and allow the surface to breathe. Every mark is born from real contact, from a presence that remains.
Gold leaf enters Harmony as a sensitive presence.
It is not decoration, but deposited light. It rests in points of balance, in the silences of the form, where solid meets void. Gold holds the light and returns it in an intimate way, making an inner vibration visible.
In this art of work there is no dominant center. Each part keeps its identity and, together with the others, builds a relationship. It is a dynamic, living balance, in constant listening.
Harmony happens when gesture, matter and light reach a deep coherence. When nothing prevails and everything finds its own time.
The bas-relief is born from direct contact. The palette knife opens, bare hands listen.
