Michela Fabeni Art Gallery – Portal of Light of Contemporary Art in Rome: Textured Bas-Reliefs in Smussato Technique

The Michela Fabeni Art Gallery is not simply an Exhibition Space.
It is a living place, a threshold, a meeting point between matter, gesture, and vision.
I call it a Portal of Light, because it does not merely contain artworks, but passages.
Inner passages, sensory paths, subtle crossings between what is seen and what vibrates beneath the surface.
This physical exhibition space, located in Rome and accessible by private appointment only, hosts the complete core of my artistic research: bas-reliefs on canvas, material works created through my personal technique known as Smussato, where surfaces are shaped by bare hands and light becomes language.

Each artwork is a spark of my deeper world.
A fragment born from the body, moving through matter, opening itself to those who enter with presence.
The Portal of Light is also a place of encounter and listening.
Here I curate limited-attendance events, intimate experiences designed for small groups,
both in person and online:
– live encounters
– webinars
– sensory events
– dialogues on art and creative process
– readings from my Fragments
This is not a gallery to rush through. It is a space that asks for time, silence, and breath.
The artworks can be viewed, experienced, and explored here, or through personalized journeys for collectors, curators, and visitors seeking an authentic connection with my work.
The Michela Fabeni Art Gallery is where everything converges: the matter I shape, the light I reveal, the gesture that remains.
A portal open to those who feel, not only to those who look. Step into the Portal of Light. Discover my space and artworks at www.michelafabeniart.com
