On January 15, in the heart of Rome, time opens.
At Palazzo Nazareno, a sixteenth-century building rich in memory, founded by the luminous vision of Giuseppe Calasanzio and donated by Cardinal Michelangelo Tonti, known as the Nazareno, history begins to breathe again through art. A place born for free education, for the elevation of the human being, for knowledge as an act of love.
In this sacred space of learning and care, my vernissage and solo exhibition take shape: three to four rooms of the palace, corridors and passages, more than thirty works in dialogue with the architecture and the soul of the place. A profound encounter between past and present.
As an Artist of the Third Millennium, I stand as a bridge.
Rooted in the great masters of the past, their discipline and technical wisdom, I have crossed, transformed and revolutionized that knowledge, bringing it into our time through my personal language: textured bas-relief on canvas, the Smussato technique with the palette knife, living matter, gold that illuminates, light that flows trough the form, and the direct gesture of bare hands. An ancient technique becoming contemporary, looking toward the future.
The image accompanying this announcement portrays me beside an ancient painting of the palace founder, framed in its historic frame. A silent yet powerful dialogue between two eras that recognize and honor one another.
Inside Palazzo Nazareno, I will present textured bas-reliefs on canvas, in raw textures and gold leaf. Collections such as Rome Eternal and Angels, with Feathers and Angel Wings, Rebirths and universal symbols: the Labyrinth, Staff of Hermes, the Caduceus of Asclepius, the Anchor, the Eye of Horus, the Ohm, the Breath of Life. Works exploring journeys through time, Infinity and Circles of Life with figures searching for and crossing one another, complete this symbolic narrative.
Some works will also inhabit the palace chapel: the Circle of Life and a Putto Musician. Here, art will intertwine with a significant cultural moment: the presentation of the latest book by Prince Alfio Borghese, journalist, writer and international art critic, dedicated to Colacicchi, a twentieth-century painter.
The solo exhibition will flow throughout the palace rooms and corridors, not as a static display but as a living journey.
This vernissage is more than an event. It is an act of gratitude toward history, education and the belief that art can elevate the human spirit. A continuity between past, present and future.
