Through the Smussato technique and the use of organic materials directly hand-worked with palette knife, each piece is constructed as a dynamic balance between opposing and complementary forces: fullness and emptiness, incision and subtraction, light and depth. The surface is never intended as decoration, but as an expressive system defining an autonomous visual grammar.
In this research, bas-relief becomes a space of sedimentation of gesture and recording of time. Matter retains and returns traces, generating a layered perception in which the gaze is invited to enter rather than simply observe.
