Michela Fabeni’s artistic research focuses on contemporary bas-reliefs, a material language in which the surface becomes a space of transformation between light, shadow, and sign. Through the Smussato technique, matter is shaped like living skin, in a continuous dialogue between gesture, time, and perception.

Each artwork arises from direct contact with natural elements and develops as a sensitive trace of the creative process. Michela Fabeni's bas-reliefs do not represent, they reveal: they preserve the imprint of gesture and the vibration of passage, transforming form into memory.

Her work explores the relationship between fullness and emptiness, presence and fading, creating surfaces that become a visual and tactile experience of time.
