In Dancing Among the Clouds gesture becomes form: a 65x90 cm bas-relief on canvas, created with my personal Smussato technique using palette knife, bare hands and organic materials. The figure of a dancer emerges delicately from the surface, suspended between matter and light, as if truly floating among the clouds.
The lively texture and rough surfaces create a dialogue between natural chaos and the elegance of human movement. Organic materials add depth and authenticity, evoking a connection to nature and the inherent imperfection of the real world.
The neutral color palette enhances the ethereal feeling, making the work universal and timeless. Dancing Among the Clouds conveys freedom, spirituality, and harmony, transforming the bas-relief into a sensory experience where light, thickness, and gesture coexist.
