My labyrinths are not meant to confuse, but to slow down. They are not puzzles to be solved, but paths to be inhabited. Each labyrinth is carved into matter as a quiet invitation to enter.

Lines unfold, return, hesitate, and continue, tracing a journey that is never linear, yet deeply intentional. In the labyrinth, movement is inward. The eye follows the path, the body senses the rhythm, the mind gradually releases the need for control.

Matter becomes a map of inner time, where direction matters less than presence.

Light plays a crucial role. It touches the raised surfaces, slips into the recesses, and reveals the tension between fullness and emptiness. What appears complex from afar becomes essential when approached slowly.

I shape my bas-reliefs by listening to the resistance and response of the material.

The labyrinth emerges as a living structure, a silent architecture where every curve holds memory and every pause creates meaning.

The labyrinth does not promise an exit. It offers an experience. A space where losing oneself becomes a way of returning. The labyrinth is not a destination, but a state of presence. www.michelafabeniart.com

Entering the labyrinth means accepting the time it takes to truly arrive. Write me for information and collaborations. michelafabeni@libero.it
